4. DIR and IT Services
After completing the online enrolment procedure, you will receive an email with your student ID number, at the email address you provided during registration. Your student ID number identifies you at the University and is needed for all administrative procedures and access to IT services.
Note: the enrolment procedure is complete only on payment of the first fee instalment. Until then, in order to access the Student Portal where you registered, you must use the email ID format: name.surname@esterni.uniupo.it (at the end of the registration step, it may take a few minutes, maximum 5, before you can log in).
When you receive the email with your student ID number, you must activate your institutional email account by following these instructions: Email Service for Students. For any problems relating to activation of the account, write to: postastudenti@uniupo.it
Once your email account is activated, the same email login details can be used to access:
- Student Portal
- UniUpo and Upofrequency apps (user name: just student ID number)
- WiFi
- Access to PCs in laboratories
- DIR services (Online teaching)
- To change the password, reset it, or re-establish it in the event of loss: password management
If the password is successfully changed, your status will result as “active” and you can access your email account (go to https://www.gmail.com, log in with username, IDnumber@studenti.uniupo.it, and use the “New password” that you just created).
We remind you that the email format IDnumber@studenti.uniupo.it is the only one recognised by the University for receipt and sending of communications. In this way it is possible to guarantee the security of messages and that they are not sent to unauthorised recipients.
In the event of any problem with the email system, contact postastudenti@uniupo.it
