The interview releases the necessary authorisation to complete registration. During the interview, the requirements for enrolment and possession of suitable personal preparation are assessed based on previous studies. The interview does not focus on disciplinary topics.
In order to issue the authorisation, it is necessary to present the following self-declarations at the interview:

b) self-declaration form, duly completed and signed (pdf downloadable at the bottom of this page)

During the interview, the student must also indicate to the Commission the name of the teacher-tutor who will follow him/her during the university career

  1. complete registration at the Student Secretariat
  2. take the placement test of the chosen foreign language (English, French, Spanish, German) after registration.

What is the foreign language placement test?

This test is COMPULSORY, but does not restrict admission to the course.
The test (interview to assess linguistic skills) does not substitute the exam of Foreign Language or Literature, which must also be taken according to your study plan and in the language chosen for the test.

The objective of the test is to verify the level of knowledge of the foreign language and, in the event that this level results as A1 or A2, to recommend attendance of an elementary course during the first year, in order to offer preparation that allows access to foreign language or literature exams scheduled in the second year of the Master's course.

Please remember that, by the end of your programme, you will need to have reached at least B2 level.

Anyone who has a low level in the foreign language is advised to contact the teachers responsible for that language: Prof. Elisabetta Lonati / Laura Tommaso (English); Laurence Audéoud (French), Andrea Baldissera (Spanish), Miriam Ravetto (German).

When?

The foreign language entrance test must be taken only AFTER ENROLMENT IS COMPLETE.
For information on language tests, please contact the following teachers:

Who must take the test?

All students enrolled in the 1st year, apart from those who are exempt.
Students who hold language certification may be exempt from the text, and must send a copy of the language certificate to the Course Chair.

What to do after taking the test?

The test result and any identified remedial course (in the event of insufficient language skill) will be communicated to your teacher-tutor and Course Chair  (raffaella.afferni@uniupo.it).

Please note:
Each student is assigned a teacher-tutor throughout their studies, to be chosen by the student during the admissions interview.
